Meditation & Practice Groups

Meditation & Practice Groups

Refuge in the Three Jewels — the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha — is at the heart of Buddhist practice. Students of Chhoje Rinpoche’s gather together regularly for meditation and discourse. As a group of practitioners, we support one another’s dharma practice, sharing our experiences and creating a conducive environment for deepening our understanding of basic sanity — the enlightened Buddha nature.

Chhoje Rinpoche teaching in Boulder, CO 2011

Students of Chhoje Rinpoche’s gather together in various locations throughout the world to do meditation, offer prayers, do tsok food offering ceremonies, fire puja (Riwo Sang Chod) and fish liberation.  In the USA, sangha members live in California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Massachusetts and New York. Rinpoche also has students in Canada, Israel, France, Greece, Mexico, Nepal, and India.

If you are interested in participating in an existing group meditation or a dharma study group, or would like to form a new one under the guidance of Chhoje Rinpoche, please contact our membership coordinator for further information at membership@pmctr.org

Northern California

The Bay Area sangha members of Padma Shedrup Ling meet in San Rafael and Berkeley  to practice meditation, recite mantras and to offer prayers for world peace. We often listen to recordings of Chhoje Rinpoche’s teachings.

Sangha members offer saving lives practice (fish liberation) every month. To learn more about this practice click here.  If you are interested in making a financial contribution and/or participating in person, contact Tara Roberts at savinglives@pmctr.org

Southern California

Padma Shedrup Ling’s Southern California group meets for meditation on the first Thursday of every month at the Center for Natural Healing in Agoura Hills.

For more information please contact James Houston at socalmeditation@gmail.com

Colorado

Ken Edgar hosts a dharma study group in Montrose, Colorado.  Dates and times vary.  Please email him at comeditation@gmail.com for further information.

Meditation groups are currently forming in Boulder and in Denver.  Please email membership@pmctr.org for further information.
