Saga Dawa, the fourth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni, the buddha of our time.
On the fifteenth (full moon) day of this fourth month—Saga Dawa Duchen—Saga Dawa is celebrated and merit from wholesome acts is multiplied millions of times. This year, the full moon day falls on Sunday, June 4.
This period of time is an excellent opportunity to offer our practice, make donations, and engage in other actions that generate merit.
We are delighted to announce that Chhoje Rinpoche will be teaching on the full moon this month via zoom on Sunday, June 4 at 6:00 p.m. MT/5:00 p.m. PT.
