Join us on Monday, August 4, Time TBD to offer Tsok!
We will practice the Shower of Blessings feast offering (Tib. tsok) for the tenth day of the seventh lunar month which falls this year on Monday, August 4, 2025.
The tsok (feast offering) practice is offered to celebrate each tenth day, Guru Rinpoche Day, in every lunar month. Each Guru Rinpoche day commemorates a particular episode from Padmasambhava's life as support to practitioners who wish to deepen their relationship with him, the buddha of our troubled age.
7th month: The non-Buddhists of Tamradvipa throw the Guru into the river Ganges. He rises from the waters, reverses the flow of the river, and performs a Vajra dance in the sky. Inspired by devotion, the non-Buddhists begin to follow the Dharma. He is known as Guru Khading Tsel, "the Guru Who Flies Like a Garuda."
