Bring your young ones to learn about meditation on Sunday mornings! Our children's program, Bodhisattva Buddies, explores mindfulness and child-friendly Buddhist lessons together through activities and community practice. Parents and guardians are welcome to join in our meetings or may use the time for their practice in the shrine room upstairs. Meetings are followed by social time with snacks for children and their parents/guardians until 12:30p.m.
During this session, we will be exploring the foundational teachings of the four immeasurables (Equanimity, Loving-kindness, compassion and rejoicing), how they relate to our daily lives and gather tools for dealing with strong emotions.
Ages: Children ages four years and older. They must be toilet trained and otherwise developmentally able to participate. Younger children are always welcome provided they attend with a caregiver.
Cost: Minimum suggested donation of $35 for the series. Participants under the age of four who are accompanied by parents may participate for free.
About the program leader: Lessons are led by a long-time community member, mother of two, and graduate of Naropa University with a Masters in Buddhist Studies with a Concentration of Contemplative Religion. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions: joymuratsuchi@ gmail.com
