Join us for a two-day teaching on March 8th and 9th for "Approaching Ngöndro & Buddhist Practices According to Our Elemental Nature: Tibetan Medicine Methods for Balance in Practice" with Nashalla Gwyn Nyinda
Often said, “The most excellent medicine is Dharma.” This statement relates to antidoting of our habits, tendencies, preferences and patterns, all which pull us away from clarity and luminous wisdom. Simple Buddhist pathophysiology explains how Dharma moves in bodily form and within our minds. For thousands of years, such methodologies have been used in traditional Tibetan Medicine, Sowa Rigpa, The Science of Healing to aid yogic and buddhist practitioners. No one method of Buddhist practice is “most effective” for all people, yet preliminaries clear obstacles and specific meditations are applied for specific energies. Applying a balanced approach suited to one’s individual body, elements, and mind typology aids significantly in cultivation of wisdom states. Understanding how elements reflect within and upon us is why teachers meet with students as they progress along their path, to give guidance with inner patterns. Embark on a journey of self-reflection. Through these talks, you will learn to embrace and recognize yourself fundamentally. Relating to our three root poisons, unique attributes set through karmic propensity and the overlay of the elements helps ameliorate obstacles and physical disorders in Buddhist practice and bodily experience. Learn time-tested Tibetan philosophy to increase and deepen Buddhist practices. Discover essential antidotes to common mental and physical developments arising from one’s unique elemental patterns. Associations of these patterns to our mental and physical manifestations brings greater discernment to our individual needs in Buddhist practice. In turn, this frees us from perceptions and projections, opening our mind-body to a more peaceful and productive journey.
