11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PMC Community Room
Bring your young ones to learn about meditation on Sunday mornings! Our children's program, Bodhisattva Buddies, explores mindfulness and child-friendly Buddhist lessons together through activities and community practice. Parents and guardians are welcome to join in our meetings or may use the time for their practice in the shrine room upstairs. Meetings are followed by social time with snacks for children and their parents/guardians until 12:30 p.m.
During this summer session, we will be participating in mindfulness activities to explore the question: Why do we meditate?
We will also be introducing to the children the World Peace Prayer (parents will be sent a copy of this prayer after registration)
We will end our meetings with a fun game.
Ages: Children ages four years and older. They must be toilet trained and otherwise developmentally able to participate. Younger children are always welcome provided they attend with a caregiver.
Cost: Donation of $20. If you will be traveling over the summer and anticipate will be missing sessions, feel free to pay for the classes you plan to attend, at $5/class and please notify Joy at the email address below. Participants under the age of four who are accompanied by parents may participate for free.
About the program leader: Lessons are led by a long-time community member, mother of two, and graduate of Naropa University with a Masters in Buddhist Studies with a Concentration of Contemplative Religion. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions: joymuratsuchi@ gmail.com
