Event Details

Join our Ngondro Practice group on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm MDT via Zoom.

PMC hosts a preliminary practices (ngondro) practice group for those who are doing (or have completed) the Dudjom Tersar ngondro practice and the requisite accumulations. The benefits of this beautiful, profound, and supportive practice are immediate and far-reaching.

Requirements: One needs to have received the transmission of these practices from a qualified teacher in order to offer this practice. You may attend any session you like, however, attending from the beginning of the session to the end is requested.

Host: Tara Roberts has been a student of His Eminence Chhoje Rinpoche’s since 1986 and is deeply familiar with this practice.

Dates and Time: Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. MT / 6:30 p.m. PT

Practice Session Length and Description: The session will last for one hour. It will include the recitation of 21 Vajrasattva mantras and 300 Vajra Guru mantras. We will recite both the Tibetan and the English. To minimize the audio disruption, participants will be muted during the actual practice.

Texts: We will be using the Yeshe Melong translation of the basic preliminary practice text. We will also begin with opening prayers and conclude with dedication prayers. We will distribute copies of the texts we plan to recite, including the specific translations of opening and closing prayers to those who RSVP above.

Reference Reading: A review of A Torch Lighting the Way to Freedom, the Complete Instructions on the Preliminary Practices by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje is recommended. His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche taught that the realization of the Great Perfection depends entirely on these preliminary practices. Detailed instructions for how to do the practice are contained in this reference book.

Access: We will host this program via Zoom conferencing software. Before the session, make sure your device is running the most updated Zoom software.

Offerings: This event is offered freely for those who are qualified to attend. If you would like to make an offering in support of these gatherings, please visit our donation page.
