Join us to clean the center in preparation for Chhoje Rinpoche’s return. As always, we’d love to see you and are grateful for your help! We need all hands on deck for this cleaning day — we will need to scrub every nook and cranny to prepare for our Lama’s return.
The Merit of Cleaning
Chhoje Rinpoche reminds us that having the right motivation–a giving mind–when volunteering to clean a space where teachings will be given and received is a practice of generosity from the heart. As a result, people practicing in this way, with a mind of generosity, receive great merit. We learned that the practice of cleaning the meditation center is truly a selfless offering and a way to purify body, speech, and mind.
Having a clean space to host the teacher and the teachings shows how much we value the profundity of the teachings. In such a space, beings are welcomed to receive the teachings appropriately.
The connection to the teacher and to the Dharma made by this service is very powerful. We are doing a service for every being by supporting the teachings, and particularly everyone who comes to PMC to learn about Dharma!
