Shower of Blessings Feast Offering (Tsok) Practice with H.E. Chhoje Tulku Rinpoche

We will practice the Shower of Blessings feast offering (Tib. tsok) for the tenth day of the third lunar month which falls this year on Thursday, April 22. The tsok (feast offering) practice is offered to celebrate each tenth day, Guru Rinpoche Day, in every lunar month. Each Guru Rinpoche day commemorates a particular episode from Padmasambhava's life as support to practitioners who wish to deepen their relationship with him, the buddha of our troubled age. The third month: "The King of Zahar tries to burn Guru Rinpoche. However, the guru transforms the flames into a lake (the lake Tso Pema or Rewalsar), establishes the Dharma in the land of Zahar, and takes the king's daughter, Mandarava, as his spiritual consort. He is known as Guru Pema Jungne, 'the Lotus-Born Teacher'." Chhoje Tulku Rinpoche will lead us in tsok practice online beginning at 10:00 a.m. PST/11:00 a.m. MST. In your home, you can arrange a plate of fresh food offerings--newly purchased items that have not been used before--and place it on your altar while you participate in the practice. You can offer anything that looks and tastes pleasing to you, then partake in the feast at the appropriate time in the ritual with the rest of the community.
